Robert Huth has given a tongue-in-cheek response after Marouane Fellaini appeared to pull the hair of Matteo Guendouzi’s during Manchester United’s draw with Arsenal.

Fellaini, who recently got rid of his own singular hairdo, grasped a hand-full of Guendouzi’s distinguishing locks at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

In May 2016, Fellaini was the victim of similar tactics when Huth pulled his hair in a Premier League match between Manchester United and Leicester City.

Huth received a three-game ban at the time. Fellaini was also suspended having elbowed his opponent in response.

On Thursday morning, Huth posted a photo of the Guendouzi incident with the teasing caption: “Looks like I taught him well… #playon.”

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy was critical of Fellaini on Wednesday’s Match of the Day.

“He has got away with one, hasn’t he? It is a sending off by the letter of the law,” Murphy said. “It is stupid from Fellaini and really could have cost his team.”

Fellaini will not be banned this time because the referee saw the offence and awarded a free-kick.

🔴 @fellaini certainly deserves a 3-game ban for hair pulling on @matteoguendouzi !! Funny how he hated Robert Huth for pulling his hair back in 2016 where both gotten 3-game ban and now he did the same to others! #munars #arsenal #manchesterunited

The Belgian would have missed Premier League games against Fulham, Liverpool and Cardiff City before Christmas had he received a three-match suspension.

Fellaini has made 17 appearances across all competitions so far this season, scoring two goals.
